2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 gets an updated design
Yamaha has unveiled the latest range of Tracer 9 sports touring bikes. The Japanese automaker has unveiled the Tracer 9, Tracer 9 GT, Tracer 9 GT Y-AMT, and Tracer 9 GT+. The GT+ variant will only be available in the Y-AMT variant in the UK market. To make these bikes fit the role, they have been equipped with technology and design, all of it aimed at improving comfort while also making it capable.
The Yamaha Tracer 9 continues to have the same torque-based engine used in the previous version. This is an 890 cc inline three-cylinder CP3 engine which is tuned to produce 117 bhp of power and 92 Nm of peak torque while revving at 7,000 rpm.
Despite having the same power unit the bike gets a mechanical update. This can be seen in the form of the Y-AMT automated manual transmission. It is to be noted that this is the latest model to use the transmission, before this the brand used the transmission on the MT-07. It allows the rider to shift gears using buttons instead of a clutch and gear lever.
The 2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 has a very different appearance when compared to its predecessor. This can be seen in the form of a new fairing which provides space for multi-element LED which gives the bike an aggressive look. It also contributes to optimising the airflow around the rider.
In terms of the tech, the bike has been equipped with a 7-inch TFT dash manually adjustable screen which gets an upgraded electronically operated screen on the GT and GT+ variants. It enables Bluetooth connectivity. Other features on the list include adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, a radar-linked unified braking system, heated grips, and more.
The bike also gets a revised subframe, which results in more space for the pillion. It is to be noted that the seat height of the bike has been slightly increased to 845 mm.
