Bengaluru: City residents in multiple neighbourhoods should prepare for power outages on Saturday, September 21, as Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) carries out urgent maintenance work. The power cuts are scheduled from 10 AM to 4 PM and will impact several areas around the KVIA Sahakara Nagar Centre, as per a report by Oneindia.
The outages are due to essential repair and upgrade activities at the 66/11 KV Sahakara Nagar Centre, including maintenance of the transformer, base, and 66 KV bus. BESCOM has advised residents in affected areas to plan accordingly for the six-hour power disruption.

The power cuts will impact various localities, including A Block, E Block, Ballari Main Road, G Block, F Block, Talacauvery Layout, Amruthahalli, BGS Layout, Navya Nagar Block, Shabari Nagar, Byatarayanapura Jakkur Layout, GKVK Layout, Jakkur Plantation, Yosha Nagar Amruthahalli, D Block, Amruthahalli B Block, C Block, SQAAL Layout, Sampigehalli, Agrahara Village, Jayasurya Layout, Vidhana Soudha Layout, Sai Baba Layout, Telecom Layout, MCISCHS Layout, MC PHHS Layout, Suryodaya Nagar 2, Agrahara Layout, Kogilu Layout, Srinivaspur Jakkur, VRL Road (Sante Road), IAS Road, and Rkavati Layout.
Focus on Electrical Safety
With monsoon-related challenges largely addressed, BESCOM is now focusing on enhancing electrical safety in the city. The company is set to launch an awareness campaign to educate the public and school students on preventing electrical accidents. This initiative aims to promote safer practices and reduce the risk of electrical hazards in Bengaluru.
Residents are urged to cooperate during the maintenance period and take necessary precautions to manage the temporary inconvenience caused by the scheduled power cuts.
