Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings reportedly donated $7 million to a super PAC that supports Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential run, Reuters cited a source to report on Tuesday. Now, social media users are slammig the billionaire and boycott calls for his video streaming platform are trending.
Hastings’ $7 million could be his largest political donation to a single candidate, several media reports said. The Netflix executive chairman had congratulated Harris on Monday after she received the support of a majority of Democratic delegates to become the party nominee against Donald Trump.

President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he would no longer be seeking re-election. “Congrats to Kamal Harris – now it is time to win,” Hastings posted on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.
Netflix is now facing ‘cancel’ calls. “There are plenty of other streaming options available. You know what to do Patriots. Hope Hastings enjoys his backing of VP Harris. Make him feel it,” one social media user said.
