Wayanad Landslide News Live Updates: Massive landslides in Kerala’s Wayanad district on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of over 100 people, with around a hundred others feared trapped. The landslides, which occurred around 2 a.m., have left the area cut off. The most severely affected regions include Churalpara, Velarimala, Mundakayil, and Pothukalu.

A team from the Territorial Army, along with a medical team from Kozhikode, has been dispatched to Wayanad. State Health Minister Veena George has directed all available health officials in and around the district to join the rescue operations, as there are numerous reports of injuries.

More than 73 people have died in the landslides that hit Wayanad’s Meppadi area in the early hours of Tuesday. Currently, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, the Army and the IAD are carrying out rescue operations, with additional NDRF teams dispatched to the district, officials said.
