In his recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the Page 3 director confirmed that Fashion 2 is definitely on the cards, and he believes the original film has all the ingredients for a follow-up. But here’s the catch —he’s toying with the idea of turning it into a multi-season show.
The fashion landscape has evolved dramatically since Fashion first hit screens, and Bhandarkar is eager to dive back into this glamorous yet gritty world. He mentioned that the subject matter is rich with possibilities, especially considering how social media has transformed the industry. “The world of fashion today is ripe for a sequel,” he shared. “There’s so much material that could be explored in a show format, but it also has the potential to be a film.”
While he’s still mulling over the exact direction, one thing is clear: Bhandarkar is fascinated by the shift in the fashion world. “There was a time when supermodels ruled the runway, but now Bollywood stars are the new showstoppers.
