Pachinko Star Park Sohee, Alexander Chee And More Show Support For BTS’ Suga Amid DUI Scandal
BTS‘ Suga was recently caught operating an electric scooter while drunk. The rapper has been facing backlash from netizens post the incident. However, many stars have come forward to show their support for Yoongi.

For the unversed, on August 6, Suga was charged for riding an electric scooter while under the influence. Following the incident, the rapper penned an apology note that read, “Last night after drinking at dinner, I went home by riding an electric scooter. I violated the traffic laws due to me thinking easily that it’s close distance and not recognizing that it is not allowed to ride an electric scooter after drinking. I bow my head and apologize to everyone.”
However, Suga continued to face massive flak across social media. Amid the backlash, many stars have come forward to show their support for the BTS member. Pachinko author Lee Min-jin was the first to show her support for Yoongi, sharing a snap of the BTS member via Instagram.
Under her post, Pachinko star Park Sohee and Cobra Kai actress Alicia Hannah Kim dropped a bunch of purple heart emojis. Alicia also re-shared Min-jin’s post via Instagram Stories. “Protect Min Yoongi,” she wrote.
Writer Alexander Chee, who attended the same Met Museum event as BTS in 2021, showed his support for the rapper, saying, “Suga!!! We are with you.”
Legendary composer-pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto’s daughter Miu Sakamoto and producer-songwriter EL CAPITXN also stood in solidarity with Suga. While Mui shared Suga’s songs The Last and Life Goes On on her Instagram, EL CAPITXN posted about Snooze re-entering the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart.
