Did Aashish Mehrotra CONFIRM Sudhanshu Pandey And Rupali Ganguly Having Issues?
In a shocking turn of events, Sudhanshu Pandey, who played the role of Vanraj in Anupamaa, announced his exit from the show. The real reason behind the actor’s sudden decision is still not confirmed, but many speculations are being made. While some hint at Pandey’s and co-star Rupali Ganguly aka Anupama having differences, some also say that the actor had a fallout with producer Rajan Shahi. Aashish Mehrotra, who previously played the role of Toshu in the show, has a different tale to tell.
Aashish reacts to Sudhanshu and Rupali’s fallout
A few months back, Aashish bid adieu to Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, in which he played the role of Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey’s reel son Toshu. The actor was then replaced by Gaurav Sharma. Speaking to a FPJ, Aashish reacted to the rumours surrounding differences between Sudhanshu and Rupali, fallout and more.
When asked about the news surrounding the fallout between Pandey and Rupali, Aashis said, “Dekho, agar ek ghar mein bartan hai toh woh toh khadkenge hi. Baki, what is the reason behind his exit? I have no clue since I am not a part of the show anymore.”
Speaking about if there were any creative differences between Sudhanshu and Rupali, Aashish said, “I have not seen anything like this. Honestly, in a professional setting, these things are common. Workspace mein ye choti moti nok jhok chalti rehti hai, par koi isey ghar thodi leke jata hai.”
Aashish on Sudhanshu’s decision to quit Anupamaa
Reacting to Sudhanshu’s sudden decision about quitting the show, Aashish shared how he was equally shocked to see the news. He said, “It was shocking for me too. Mujhe pe social media se hi pata chala. I was way too shocked. But I agree with whatever he said in his video. One should definitely try and take up new things as an actor. Regarding his portrayal of Vanraj, I think he is the most good-looking ‘Vanraj Shah, and his portrayal of the character will be missed a lot.”
Aashish also spoke about his bonding with Sudhanshu on the show and after leaving the show. “You know, it is very funny. Even after all the years of working on the show and spending so much time, we barely have pictures. And the reason behind this is, hum itni masti karte thhe, itne mazze karte thhe, ke photos kheechne ka kabhi time hi nahi mila,” said Aashish.
Concluding his thoughts, Mehrotra mentioned, “Even though he played the character of my father onscreen and offscreen, he was like my elder brother. I would address him as ‘Pra Ji.’ Our scenes together would come out so well. His vibes are amazing.”
