Former president Donald Trump on Saturday alleged that Kamala Harris lied about working at McDonald’s. In a Truth Social post, the Republican presidential nominee referred to his 2024 opponent as ‘comrade’, adding that she ‘also lied about Arlington Cemetery and Afghanistan’. This comes days after the right-wing Washington Free Beacon reported that Harris did not mention her McDonald’s stint, during college, on her resume.
The Harris-Walz campaign is yet to respond to the report and Trump’s claims.
“Comrade Kamala Harris lied about working at McDonalds. SHE NEVER WORKED THERE, they think she’s “nuts.” Likewise, she lied about Fracking, the Border, Crime, the Economy, and the Democrat’s “Suckers and Losers” HOAX, concerning our great military. She also lied about Arlington Cemetery and Afghanistan. She lies about everything!!! DJT,” Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post on Saturday.
The former president, who also mentioned Arlington Cemetery and Afghanistan, in his post was under fire for an alleged fight that broke between his campaign members and the cemetery staff. The 78-year-old clicked a photo in Section 60, where one cannot carry cameras.
Addressing the controversy, Trump said: “Those families that asked me to be there. So I went. And while we were there, they said, Could you take pictures over the grave of my son, my sister, my brother? Would you take pictures with us, sir? I said, Absolutely, I did.”
“This all comes out of Washington, just like all of these prosecutors come out of Washington. These are bad people we’re dealing with,” Trump added during his Michigan rally.
