Stock Market Today: Indian stock markets open flat today, following strong gains in the US markets. Overnight, the US benchmark indices, S&P 500 and Dow Jones, hit new record closing highs on Wall Street. At 9:15 am, the Sensex is trading at 84,860.73, down by 67.88 points or 0.08 per cent. The Nifty 50 is trading 17.60 points or 0.07 per cent to 25,921.45.

Among the 30 stocks on the BSE Sensex, 20 were trading lower. The biggest losers were Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, HCLTech, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Titan.
Stock Market Today: Top Gainers On BSE
On the other hand, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corp., Tata Motors, and Larsen & Toubro were the top gainers.
Share Market Today: Top Gainers On NSE Nifty
On the Nifty 50, the top performers were JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corp., BPCL, and LTIMindtree.
Share Market Today: Top Losers On NSE Nifty
Apollo Hospital Enterprises, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, and Nestle India were leading the losses.
Sectoral Performances
Several sectoral indices, including Nifty Bank, Financial Services, FMCG, IT, Consumer Durables, and Oil & Gas, were trading in negative territory. However, the Metal index surged by 1.58 per cent after China announced new economic stimulus measures.
Other sectoral indices like Healthcare, Realty, Pharma, and Media were also trading higher. Broader market indices, including BSE MidCap and BSE SmallCap, were both up by 0.2 per cent.
GIFT Nifty
At 7:28 AM, GIFT Nifty futures were trading at 25,982, which is about 70 points higher than the previous close of Nifty futures.
