St Lucia Kings etched their names in the history books after winning their maiden Caribbean Premier League title on Sunday at the Providence Stadium. Roston Chase and Aaron Jones returned unbeaten to guide their side to their first major trophy since the team was founded in 2013.
The team led by Faf du Plessis defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 6 wickets in the summit clash, winning the CPL 2024 crown. Following the match, Faf du Plessis recreated the iconic trophy celebration done by Lionel Messi and Rohit Sharma as well.

Riding on Dwaine Pretorious’s 25-run knock and Shai Hope’s 22-run effort as well as a late cameo from Romario Shepherd, the Guyana Warriors scored 138/8 thanks to a three-wicket haul from Noor Ahmad.
Roston Chase picked up the Man of the Match award as he got a wicket to his name along with his blistering fast unbeaten knock his fifth wicket partnership turned the game on its head. Following the victory, when the St Lucia Kings were presented with the trophy, Faf du Plessis slowly walked towards the podium before lifting the prize with his teammates in jubilation.
