reddit down: frustrated users turn to social media for answers

Reddit users around the globe are facing access difficulties on the platform, desktop and mobile. Reports indicate that when desktop users attempted to log in, they encountered the error message, “no healthy upstream.” In contrast, mobile users are similarly faced with another error: “upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. Reset reason: connection failure.” Many users are understandably annoyed by the sudden outage, for they depend on Reddit for community discussions and updates. So far, there is no official word from Reddit as to why an outage occurred.

Service outage tracker Downdetector took notice of several developments with over 200 separate reports saying that they were unable to access the site. Several users tweeted across social media, primarily on X (formerly Twitter), voicing their discontent and concerns about the ongoing issues. Being a community of active discussions, the Reddit community has indeed lit up online with a plethora of reactions, some expressing disappointment and others looking for updates.
