The patent reveals slight changes in the design of the bike
Hero Motocorp revived the Karizma nameplate last year by adding the XMR suffix. Now, the brand is planning on launching an updated version of the bike with a few changes in the design and the vehicle’s powertrain. The update comes in the form of a leaked patent of a bike that has the same design as the outgoing Karizma with a few tweaks, all of it aimed at improving the capabilities of the motorcycle.
At first glance, the bike seems to have the same design as the outgoing Karizma XMR. This is because the design of the headlamp cluster merged well with the fairings that join the fuel tank and merge well seamlessly at the rear end. However, a deeper analysis of the design reveals the changes incorporated in the bike.
For instance, the design of the fairing has been altered by removing the bottom of the fairing near the engine’ sump. The brand also seems to have joined TVS by adding small winglets to an entry-level bike. To slightly change the personality of the bike, the brand manufacturer has added a new fuel tank that appears to have a sharper angular design. Additionally, the design of the mirror stalks has been changed.
To improve the ride quality, the brand seems to have added a USD fork to the machine. It is to be noted that the outgoing version of the bike comes with a telescopic fork. This seems to be the brand’s attempt to add a premium feel to the machine.
Along with this, chances are Hero might use a bigger engine with the bike. This will be a 250 cc liquid-cooled engine. This might be the same 250 cc unit that the brand had showcased in the XTunt 2.5R concept. It will likely be paired with the same six-speed gearbox used on the outgoing version of the bike.
