Taking to his official Instagram handle on Saturday, Rajkummar Rao shared a video in which Rajkummar and Shah Rukh Khan are seen standing close to each other as the former records. In the clip, the duo is seen engaging in a sweet exchange in which Rajkummar is seen teaching SRK his popular ‘Vicky Please’ dialogue. The fun clip is going viral on social media.
Along with the video, the actor penned a special birthday note for Shah Rukh Khan and wrote, “Happy birthday dearest @iamsrk sir. You mean the world to us. Rajkummar Rao on SRK’s influence in his decision to become an actor
In his recent interview, the Stree 2 actor expressed his profound respect for Shah Rukh Khan, acknowledging the superstar as a major influence in his decision to become an actor. “It’s a great feeling. All my life, even today, I’ve been saying, of course, Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue. Of course, I paid an homage to him. He was in ‘Stree 1’ and in ‘Stree 2’ also. But when somebody like him, of course, says my line, such an iconic line, it’s such an amazing feeling. I can’t describe it in words. Because he’s been a big reason for me to be an actor,” Rajkummar told IANS.
When asked about the star he looks up to, Rao was quick to acknowledge his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan. “He’ll always be my star, for sure. And, you know, anyone who delivers an exceptional performance on screen, who inspires me, who touches my heart, is my star,” he said.
