A Delhi woman’s Halloween stunt has sparked mixed reactions on social media, as she took her eerie costume to public spaces to spook passers-by. Shaifali Nagpal, a makeup artist from Paschim Vihar, shared a video on Instagram of her ghostly Halloween appearance, which has attracted more than seven million views. Nagpal dressed as a ‘ghost,’ wearing a white sleeveless dress splattered with red paint to resemble blood and completed the look with unsettling contact lenses. She took her spooky ensemble to a local park, where startled children looked on in fear. Later, she strolled along nearby streets, catching onlookers by surprise; several stopped to snap photos and record videos of her ghostly attire.
But the highlight of the whole act? Just as she was about to turn and walk away, a dog unexpectedly entered the scene, adding a humorous twist to her spooky stroll. When the four-legged chaser ran towards her, Nagpal took off, shouting, “Kutta pad gaya mere peeche! (A dog is chasing me!!).” This light-hearted moment brought viewers a burst of laughter, perfectly wrapping up her series of chilling antics.
The video, however, received mixed response from the online community. “Don’t do this to kids,” a user said.
Another individual commented, “There is no fear. Everybody is creating videos. You’re not going to be a decent ghost.”
“Go to a deserted place in the middle of the road, it will be fun,” a person suggested.
According to a viewer, if someone truly saw a ghost, they would consider them to be a content creator.
