Ryan Reynolds reveals Deadpool & Wolverine’s alternate ending
One of 2024’s biggest global blockbustrs, Deadpool & Wolverine continues to make headlines even after three months of release. The initial plan was to use Madonna’s hit track from 1989, Like a Prayer. Ryan shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the climactic sequence with Wolverine feauring the song. In the caption, Ryan revealed that the scene was meant to feature X-Men’s Colossus.
The actor, who leads the franchise as Deadpool shared that he had Like a Prayer, “Before Wolverine entered the chat, it was largely gonna be the same motion-control sequence I’d been dreaming about, except my dance partner was originally COLOSSUS.”
“He would have died in the preceding scene, launching Deadpool into a state of pure rage and revenge… all set to @madonna’s inspired and singular song, Like A Prayer,” Ryan added in the long caption.
Hugh Jackman ‘changed the destiny’ of Deadpool & Wolverine
According to him, Hugh Jackman coming onboard “changed the destiny for everyone.” He joked that “Colossus, along with his virginity, stayed intact.”
The video included memorable scenes from the movie along with Like a Prayer being recorded in the studio. The goosebump inducing video launched the choir version of Madonna’s song for Deadpool & Wolverine.
