In August, Dune: Prophecy revealed Tabu’s powerful look as Sister Francesca in the prequel series. Now, it’s the turn of Charithra Chandran, who plays the younger version of the character. The role of Sister Francesca is meant to be recurring but has a powerful impact on the story nonetheless. Check out the first look of Charithra in costume for Dune: Prophecy below!
Charithra Chandran in Dune: Prophecy
HBO and its streaming service Max have been periodically revealing new looks of several characters in these past few months. The latest character unveiling is that of Charithra Chandran as Young Francesca. On X (formerly Twitter), the official account of Max posted the first look photo and wrote, “Young Francesca. The new HBO Original Series #DuneProphecy premieres this November on Max.”

Like Tabu’s first look, Charithra is also dressed in all-black with her hair tied back. The character of Sister Francesca is said to be a strong and important member of the Bene Gesserit. She was the love of Emperor Javicco Corrino (Mark Strong), and when Sister Francesca returns to the Imperial Opal Palace, it strains the balance of power in Corrinth City. The Bridgerton and One Piece star will likely be seen in flashbacks. Her newly announced Bridgerton Season 4 co-star Yerin Ha is playing the younger version of Reverend Mother Kasha Jinjo (Jihae), so the prequel series will spend a significant part of the story exploring the past.

About Dune: Prophecy
The six-part series will be premiering in November on Jio Cinema Premimum in India and has been inspired by the book Sisterhood of Dune, co-written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. The focus of Dune: Prophecy is on the two Harkonnen sisters (Emily Watson and Olivia Williams) as they set up the fabled sect called the Bene Gesserit. It takes place 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides and the current Dune franchise directed by Denis Villeneuve.
