Actor and director Duniya Vijay’s upcoming film Bheema finally has a release date. Despite the film’s shooting and post-production work being completed several months ago, uncertainty loomed large over the film’s release date. Rumours doing the rounds then suggested that the unit was facing distribution challenges.
Bheema To Hit Screens On August 9
However, the filmmakers have now officially announced that Bheema will hit theatres statewide on August 9, dispelling earlier speculation that it might release on Independence Day, August 15.
Promotion for Bheema initially began with the release of the first song, Bad Boys, during Gauri-Ganesha festival in 2023, followed by two additional tracks. However, further promotional activities were put on hold due to the uncertainty surrounding the release date.
With the new date set, the promotional campaign will resume in the coming days. Fans can look forward to a series of teasers, trailers, and song releases over the next six weeks.
Sophomore
Bheema marks Duniya Vijay’s second directorial project after his debut with Salaga, continuing his exploration of underworld themes.
In addition to directing, Vijay has also taken on the roles of writer and lead actor in this film. He is joined by theatre artiste Ashwini as the female lead, while Charanraj has composed the music for the film.
The film is produced by Krishna Sarthak and Jagdish Gowda, who are optimistic about its performance at the box office.
With the official release date set, all eyes are now on Bheema to see if it can match the success of Vijay’s previous work and make a significant impact in the film industry.
