Amid reports of emergency trucks inside the White House in Washington DC on Friday afternoon, the US Secret Service said that it was “routine”. ABC’s Selina Wang initially reported about the trucks and said that multiple entrances were blocked off.
“It is a routine closure to investigate a suspicious item,” Wang quoted the Secret Service as saying, in a follow up to the initial post on X.
Joe Biden is currently at his Delaware, Virginia residence. While Vice President Kamala Harris is on the campaign trail in Arizona along with running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
