ex-us champion sustains multiple upper body injuries, wwe clears the air around his future

Former US Champion Ricochet’s future in the WWE is under speculation. Ahead of the recent episode of Monday Night RAW, a news of Ricochet’s WWE contract expiring grabbed many eyeballs. Various reports also suggested that the pro-wrestler had given his notice and is not willing to re-sign with the company. The episode on Monday Night RAW aired on June 10, 2024 was speculated to be the former US champion’s last WWE appearance but it was his injury that made it to the spotlight.

Ricochet ended up attacking Bron Breakker at the ringside area. Bron made sure to get his revenge later that night as he attacked Ricochet in the parking lot. Breakker first pushed the the former Intercontinental Champion into a truck and later slammed the WWE star onto the windscreen of a car. Post this brawl, the high-flyer had to leave the building in an ambulance while being accompanied by ring announcer and fiancee Samantha Irvin.

Following this brutal brawl in the parking lot, the company posted an update for the fans on their official social media handle. The WWE said that the former US and Intercontinental champion had sustained multiple upper body injuries and might be out of action for quite sometime.

This certainly means that in many ways it was Ricochet’s final appearance on TV as far as his immediate future is concerned. Trevor Dean Mann aka Ricochet first made his debut in WWE’s developmental territory NXT on January 27, 2018. He later started a feud with North American Champion Adam Cole and his stable The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong).

As far as his achievements go in the WWE, he has won the WWE Intercontinental Championship (1 time), WWE United States Championship (1 time), NXT North American Championship (1 time), WWE Speed Championship (1 time, inaugural), SmackDown World Cup (2022), WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender Tournament (2023), Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (2019), NXT Year-End Award for Breakout Star of the Year (2018) and Bumpy Award (1 time)
