Known primarily for his boy-next-door looks and romantic avatar (Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Satyaprem Ki Katha etc), Kartik Aaryan decided to turn a new leaf when he signed in for films as diverse as Shehzada (which saw him doing action for the first time on screen) and Freddy (which had negative shades). The actor decided to take his metamorphosis a step further when he collaborated with Kabir Khan for the upcoming Chandu Champion. Debuting in theatres on June 14, Chandu Champion will see Kartik Aaryan in a ripped avatar as that of India’s first Paralympics gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. The actor went through a rigorous regime to showcase a sculpted avatar for his latest role. And now, his Chandu Champion trainer Tridev Pandey has shared a few trade secrets for everyone who wants to achieve that level of fitness, pointing out that shortcuts, however, are never the way ahead.
In an exclusive interaction with Zoom, Tridev, not only sang praise of Kartik’s dedication towards his craft, but also, listed out a few tips for every youngster who want to boast of a hot bod like that of Kartik Aaryan. Here’s taking a look at the tips shared by Tridev Pandey:
First, take care of your sleep. There is nothing more important than a proper rest for the body.

Second, Stay with a healthy diet. Don’t go for an extreme diet from day one. Cut down your intake slowly and then go in deficit. I see people, if they want to lose 5 kg, they go into extreme diet from the first diet and after just a month they are completely exhausted and demotivated. Soon they stop and have to restart the entire process again.
Thirdly, following the right process is extremely important. If you want to lose weight or any youngster, only doing chest shoulder and biceps is not the right way to do fitness. You should learn new skills. And the skills should be anything like either learning new game or like learning new exercises.
People I see doing training for the past 10 years continue sticking to the same regular pushups. But they need to jump, they can go beyond regular pushups and do either clapping pushups or archery pushups or different variation. They need to try to improve their muscle growth and challenge their body.
Fourthly, taking care of their protein intake is very important as well. Never follow any shortcut. They can just measure their body weight and according to body weight, they should stick with either 50, 30, 20 formula, like 50 per cent protein, 30 per cent carbs and 20 per cent fat. If they don’t have any medical issues they can also follow 40-40 and 20 also, that is 40 per cent protein, 40 per cent fat, 20 per cent carbs.
One can also go to a good nutritionist and they can check BMI and can check one’s body weight and according to they will suggest a wholesome diet.
Finally, always try to follow process progression and never go for any shortcut.
