Goa Airport Flooded With Water, Authorities Respond After Video Goes Viral

Mopa: Manohar International Airport, situated in Goa’s Mopa, was flooded with water. Several videos of water flooding at the airport got surfaced on the internet.

Former President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, Girish Chodankar, shared video of the airport on X (formerly Twitter).

He wrote, “This is Narendra Modi Ji #ModiKiGuarantee in Goa. Mopa Airport was recently built by spending crores of taxpayers’ money. See its conditions.”

Responding to the incident, authorities of Manohar International Airport replied to the video shared by Girish Chodankar on X.

Manohar International Airport authorities wrote, “We understand your concerns and value your feedback. We assure you that efforts are being made to improve the services. We request your patience and support. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.”

Earlier in May, a strong lightning struck the Manohar International Airport (MIA) in Goa, causing damage to the runway edge lights. The incident occurred on May 22 at around 5:15 pm. Six flights were diverted. Damaged lights were rectified to bring the airport operations to normalcy within two hours
