India are currently taking on New Zealand in the first Test of the three-match series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, the Indian batters completely fell like nine pins as none of them showed any sort of resistance, as the Kiwi pacers made merry on a track that was showing some dangerous seam and bounce. The Rohit Sharma-led bating lineup thus achieved an embarrassing feat that has never been done in the 92 years since India first started playing the sport.
India Register Lowest-Ever Total At Home In Tests
India were all out for just 46 runs in the 1st Test against New Zealand. This is the lowest-ever score registered by India in a Test match at home. This is also the first time in 92 years that Team India has been bundled out for below 50 runs at home. The previous lowest score by India at home was when they were all put for 75 back in 1987 in Delhi against West Indies.
This is also the third lowest total ever registered by India in Test Cricket, and only the third time that India have been bundled out fot less than 50 runs in the longest format of the game.

This is also the lowest score registered ever in Asia beating the 53 scored by West Indies against Pakistan at Faisalabad in 1986 and by Pakistan against Australia at Sharjah in 2002.
Ducks Galore For India
Only two Indian batters- Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant- managed to get past double digits as India were bundled out for 46. A total of five batters scored ducks, which is the joint-most for India in a Test innings.
