Taylor Dudley, one half of the viral TikTok couple Kay and Tay, is now facing severe online scrutiny following resurfaced allegations of domestic abuse. Users on Reddit posted about his alleged arrest record from 2019. It, per screenshots, shows that Taylor was arrested for domestic violence against his wife, Kay, in Alabama, where the couple resided at the time.
Neither officials nor Kay and Tay have issued a formal statement about the resurfaced allegations yet.

In response to the resurfaced allegations, a now-deleted TikTok video further described the situation, showing Kay defending Taylor in the comments: “Tay took the fall for something he didn’t do… He was not charged with abuse. He was charged with harassment, which was completely dismissed and dropped the next day because he was innocent.” Despite her defense, many viewers remain skeptical of her explanation.

In addition to the abuse allegations, Kay and Tay have also been criticized for allegedly staging their videos. Critics argue that the couple’s content appears overly planned and rehearsed.
A user in the “MomTok Gossip” Reddit community expressed, “The first time or so I saw them, it was kind of cute, but now everything seems so planned and staged and fake. The way they act… there is just no way that’s how they behave/talk/interact off camera. It’s very cringey.” Another user observed, “The more I pay attention to it, Tay seems very controlling… Kay’s a perfectionist who acts infantile. But EVERYONE eats them up! It’s so wild to me that no one sees through them.”
