KBC 16: In the September 25 episode, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 received its first ever crorepati in Chander Parkash. He took home that massive amount of money along with a brand new car. Chander, who is a UPSC aspiring student and hails from Jammu and Kashmir, then faced the Rs 7 crore question. However, he could not answer the jackpot question that Amitabh Bachchan presented to him.

Chander Prakash fails to answer Rs 7 crore question

In the episode, Amitabh Bachchan asked Chander Parkash the 16th question worth Rs 7 crore. It was: Who was the first recorded child born to English parents in North America in 1587?

The options were:

A: Virginia Dare

B: Virginia Hall

C: Virginia Coffey

D: Virginia Sink.

The correct answer was Virginia Dare.

Chander had exhausted all his three lifelines and he didn’t know the answer. He didn’t take a risk and decided to quit the show.

After Chander quit the game, Big B asked him to predict the answer. Incidentally, Parkash ended up giving the right answer, which was Virginia Dare. However, he told the megastar that he had just guessed it and wasn’t sure.

What will Chander do with his prize money?

When Big B asked Chander what would be do with the prize money of Rs 1 crore, he said that he would give it to his parents. He mentioned that he has had seven surgeries in the past and the last one costed him Rs 8 lakh. He does not have any medical or health insurance.

“I will give the entire amount to my parents. They have sacrificed a lot for me. I will use the money for my health treatment and financial crisis,” Chander told Bachchan sahab.
