BTS’ RM sure has a way with words! Penning a heartfelt note for fans on the occasion of BTS’ 11th debut anniversary, the leader left fans in tears.
RM opens up about BTS’ reunion, latest solo album and more
Taking to Weverse, RM penned a sweet note for ARMYs on the occasion of BTS’ 11th debut anniversary. The leader started off the letter by discussing his latest solo album Right Person, Wrong Place. “This is my first work where I couldn’t tell you my thoughts in person. There’s a lot I want to say, but it’s all written in the album. This is just an album in which I struggled to be honest with myself. I hope you read it over and over again for a long time,” the BTS star shared.
Namjoon then went on to spill the beans about BTS’ reunion at Jin’s military discharge ceremony. While the rapper had fun welcoming the eldest member by playing the saxophone, RM revealed he actually had mixed feelings at the reunion. “It’s going well. It feels a bit empty, but most of all, it was nice to get together and have a drink and talk about candid things after a long time (although more than half of the talk was about military…Lol).”

Revealing that he missed the members despite talking to them often via call, Namjoon added, “Jin always talked about it. He really missed the members. When I was transferred to Gangwon-do, I finally understood what he meant.”
Concluding his letter on a heartfelt note, RM wrote, “I’ve come to realize that there’s still so many of you who haven’t forgotten about us and are here waiting and loving us. Love spilling over. The members are also spending their days well while missing you. I love you and Thank you!”
RM in the military
In December 2023, RM enlisted at the Nonsan’s Army Training Center to complete his mandatory military service. After completing his five-week long basic military training, the rapper was deployed to the 15th Infantry Division to complete the rest of his service. Namjoon will be discharged from service in June 2025.
