Over the years, Madhuri Dixit has won over fans with her flawless performances in numerous films. It has been revealed that the actress, who made her digital debut in 2022 with The Fame Game, is anticipated to play a serial murderer in the upcoming series Mrs. Deshpande.
A report in Midday claims that Madhuri Dixit is in talks to play a serial killer in a psychological thriller directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. A source cited in the report has disclosed that the show is called Mrs. Deshpande.

Mid-day has quoted a source saying that the show is titled Mrs. Deshpande. “The show tells the story of how the police hire a serial killer and pick her brains to understand another serial killer’s modus operandi and nab him. The show is a remake of a French series,” the source quoted. According to the report, if all goes according to plan, the director intends to start shooting the series following the monsoon. “The casting is underway. The team is excited to present Madhuri in a dark role,” the source further added.
Filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor is well-known for directing a segment in the Modern Love Hyderabad anthology on Prime Video. He also directed the Hotstar series City of Dreams, which starred Eijaz Khan, Priya Bapat, Sachin Pilgaonkar, and Atul Kulkarni. In addition to web series, he is credited with directing classic Bollywood films such as Dor, Iqbal, Aashayein, Dhanak, and Lakshmi.
On her professional front, Madhuri will be seen in a special dance face-off with Vidya Balan in Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. They will be dancing to the fresh rendition of Ami Je Tomar. Co-starring Triptii Dimri, the movie is expected to hit the theatres this Diwali.
