Meerut: A devastating building collapse in the Zakir Colony of Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut has claimed the lives of nine people, with rescue operations still ongoing. The incident occurred on Saturday when a three-storey building fell, trapping 15 individuals inside.
As of now, ten out of the 14 people rescued have been confirmed dead, ANI reported. Emergency services are actively working at the site to locate and rescue the one person, who is still feared trapped. The collapse has raised concerns about building safety standards in the area, with investigations into the cause of the disaster underway.
