Megha Chakraborty, who shot to fame with the show, Kaatelal And Sons, is all set to play a key role in an upcoming show, Mishri. For those who’ve come in late, Megha has played lead roles in many shows. However, many people think that she is playing the second lead in Mishri. Recently, in an exclusive interview with Times Now/Telly Talk India, Megha Chakraborty clarified that she is not playing the second lead in the show.

Megha Chakraborty gets candid about her role in Mishri
During a candid conversation with us, Megha Chakraborty confessed that she is playing an important role in Mishri, which also stars Shruti Bhist and Namish Taneja in key roles. Shruti is playing the titular role in the show.
While speaking about her role, Megha Chakraborty said, “I asked the second lead question when I was offered this show. But, when they explained to me about the show, all the things they told me, so this is not the second lead. That’s why I chose this show. So definitely, if it was the second lead, I wouldn’t have done it. So aap ko yeh title dekh kar ke main yeh title role main nahi kar rahi hoon. Don’t take this thing in the wrong way. Because, you’ve given me so much love till now. Jaisa ab tak aap ne mujhe dekha hai, main aap ko iss show mein waise hi dikhungi. bas Vani jo ek kirdar hai, Mishri, Vani and Raghav teeno ka jo importance hai, woh waise hi main aap ko Vani ki tarah equal importance milne wali hoon. Toh aisa kuch nahi ki main peeche reh gayi ya main second lead kar rahi hoon.”

Megha Chakraborty also said that she is not playing the villain as well. The actress said, “Definitely, the story progresses with certain characters who are the main ones. So, I would say that there isn’t a second lead here. Mishri, Vani and Raghav are three characters that will give you a feel of the sweetness of relationships in this show. So, I am not doing a second lead for sure and I won’t be a villain either. You will get to see a very lovely bond between Mishri and Vani.”
Let us tell you, Mishri will go on-air on July 3, 2024 on Colors TV.
