Nawazuddin Siddiqui On Working As Watchman In Mumbai

Everyone knows that the dedicated actor used to work as a watchman to survive in Mumbai during his struggling days. Now, Nawaz has shared the reason behind that.

In a chat with Shubhankar Mishra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked about the general perception that his family was financially weak. The actor replied, saying his family had enough money to live a decent life. “Meri shakal soorat aisi thi, main gareeb to nahi tha (My looks were like that, I was never a poor guy),” he said.
When asked why he chose to work as a watchman, the Gangs Of Wasseypur actor replied that he did not want to take any financial help from his family and liked to do things on his own. He added that since he was following his passion and never shared with his family what he was doing. So, he tried to earn money in whatever way possible. He even revealed that even when his family offered him money, he refused.
The self-made actor also spoke about realising the importance of money. He likes to use his money to do something good and give back. Nawaz revealed that when he earns a fair amount of money by acting in a film, he invests it in a small movie instead of spending money on luxurious items like cars, houses, and jewellery.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in the film Haddi, which was released in 2023. Directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, it also starred actors like Anurag Kashyap, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Ila Arun. He is currently busy promoting his latest film, Rautu Ka Raaz, directed by Anand Surapur. It is currently streaming on Zee5 from June 28.
