Noel Tata was appointed as the chairman of Tata Trusts after the demise of Ratan Tata in Mumbai at age 86. Noel is already a trustee of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, which together hold a 66% stake in Tata Sons, the holding company for the diversified Tata Group, spanning sectors from salt to software.
