Delhi: An 18-year-old boy was killed when an outdoor air conditioning (AC) unit fell on him near Delhi’s Karol Bagh. The incident occurred yesterday at around 7 PM, as reported by the Delhi Police. The falling AC unit also injured another boy, and both were taken to a nearby hospital.
According to the Delhi Police statement, “Yesterday at around 7 PM, information regarding the falling of an AC outdoor unit on a person was received at PS DBG Road.” The AC unit fell from the second floor and struck two boys. The deceased, aged 18 and a resident of Doriwalan, Delhi, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The second boy, aged 17 and from Patel Nagar, Delhi, is currently in the hospital and is unfit for a statement.

Investigation and Legal Action
A case has been registered under FIR No. 387/24, U/S 125(a)/106 BNS, dated 17/08/24, at PS DBG Road. The forensic team has examined the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.

A doctor from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has died by suicide at his home in South Delhi. The doctor, who worked in the Neuro Surgery department, was found dead under sad circumstances.
