PWR DUPR India Masters Points System Explained

Across the different categories during the premier pickleball event in India, the tournament will have different points systems for different categories and age groups. Here’s the entire point system explained in brief.

Pro (Open) Category: During the round-robin/qualifiers players will be playing for a maximum of 11 points. Whoever gets there first with a two-point margin will be declared as the winner. In the Round of 32 and Round of 16, players will be playing for 15 points with a two-point margin. So in that scenario, the maximum points for a win would be 15-13.

Both in the semifinals and finals players will be playing in a best-of-three format. So whichever teams or players will win two out of three sets of 11 or 15 points will be declared as the winners.

35+/Junior Category: From the round robin/qualifiers to the semifinal, whoever reaches the designated 15 points will win the match. The final will be played in the best-of-three format.

50+/60+/Split age: In this category, players will be playing for a maximum of 15 points in all the rounds till the final.

Intermediate: In this category, players will be involved in rallies of 15 or 21. In this format, teams usually score points at a rapid pace so the rallies tend to go longer, 15 or 21 points. Irrespective of whether players are serving or not, whoever wins the rally will get the point.
