India’s stock markets, including the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), will remain closed on Friday, November 15, in observance of Guru Nanak Jayanti. All trading and settlement activities will be closed due to this holiday, which will affect the currency derivatives, futures and options, stock, and commodity derivatives segments.

Additionally, because of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, both exchanges will not be trading on Wednesday, November 20. On November 20, the Election Commission of India said that Maharashtra’s Legislative Assembly would have a single-phase election, with the vote count scheduled on November 23.

The regular market operations will resume the following day, Thursday, November 21.
