Mehul Kumar’s Tirangaa, which was released in 1993, was a rage. The man is out to make another film by the same name: Nana Patekar leads the cast. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is getting ready to jump into Narendra Hirawat’s film, which is also titled Tirangaa (at least so far).
Now, it may be recalled that Mehul Kumar had exclusively told Zoom in his interview, which we brought to you on this platform on August 16, that he plans to mostly have two heroines in his film.

Well, it’s still not sure whom Mehul Kumar is casting as the female lead, but we certainly have it on the Akshay Kumar starrer Tirangaa that Taapsee Pannu is one of the heroines. This has been revealed to us by Hirawat himself in one of the recent conversations we had with him. “Taapsee toh hai,” he revealed. Hirawat added that he may need to cast another heroine besides Tapsee in the film in the days to come.
Tirangaa will be Taapsee’s fifth film with Akshay- Naam Shabana, Baby, Mission Mangal and Khel Khel Mein being the other four.
As we all know, Akshay may start on this film by 2024 end as reported earlier, but our source says that it could be as early as October 12, 2024.
“This film, which we are making with Akshay as the male lead, will be shot in 45 locales, and we are planning to release it on August 15, 2025,” Hirawat concluded.
Of course, there will be a fight of sorts between the two makers for the title. Let’s see who has to modify it and how much.
