UGC NET Exam 2024 Protest LIVE: National Testing Agency, NTA conducted UGC NET exam on June 18 and Education Ministry cancelled the exam on June 19. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan shared that the question paper was leaked on darknet on the exam day which lead to cancellation of exam. Angry students staged protest in front of Dharmendra Pradhan’s residence.Visuals from the scene shared on social media showed students allegedly being dragged and shoved into buses by the police for detention.
Claiming that NTA has failed students time and again, students are demanding complete scrapping of National Testing Agency. The students also demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmender Pradhan over the alleged corruption in the exams. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that it is out fault and action will be taken against people involved in leak. Dharmendra Pradhan said isolated incidents of malpractice should not affect lakhs of students who cleared the examination rightfully. UGC NET Exam 2024: Congress Protest Against NET Cancellation in MP
The Congress on Friday staged a demonstration here against cancellation of UGC-NET. Corruption plagues every appointment in the BJP-led regime, alleged senior leader Digvijaya Singh who along with state Congress chief Jitu Patwari led the protest in the Roshanpura square. National Testing Agency (NTA) chief Pradeep Kumar Joshi cancelled UGC-NET but he lied at every step in the case of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) where the future of lakhs of students is in danger, Singh alleged. “Under BJP’s rule, there is corruption in every official’s appointment,” the former chief minister claimed.

RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also staged protest on Delhi University’s north campus and the Jawaharlal Nehru University. They burned an effigy of the National Testing Agency (NTA) demanding probe in the matter. The students of other political outfits gathered outside the Education Ministry and Pradhan’s residence demanding a ban on the National Testing Agency, the body which conducts the examination and a probe into the alleged paper leak. Students who joined the protest were manhandled and assaulted by the police, the outfits alleged.

Following the events of the UGC-NET examination cancellation, a significant protest was organized by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and the Tribal Students Union (TSU) at Paradise Chowmuhani on Thursday. They expressed their grievances and highlighted the issues faced by students due to the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam.
