Vidisha 2019 Lok Sabha Elections

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Vidisha parliamentary constituency had a total of 1,741,604 electors, but only 1250244 votes were deemed valid. In 2019, the candidate from the BJP, Ramakant Bhargava grabbed the seat, securing a total of 853,022 votes. Shailendra Rameshchandra Patel, the candidate from the INC, came in second with a total of 349,938 votes, losing by a margin of 503084 votes.

Vidisha 2014 Lok Sabha Elections

In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP’s Sushma Swaraj won the seat, securing 714,348 votes with a vote share of 66.55%. Lakshman Singh, the INC candidate, received 303,650 votes (28.29%) and was the runner-up. BJP’s Sushma Swaraj defeated Lakshman Singh by a margin of 410698 votes. GGP candidate Kamlesh Sallam came third with 10,824 votes (1.01%)

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Sushma Swaraj from the BJP emerged as the winner with 438,235 votes. The closest competitor was Choudhary Munabbar Salim (SP) who secured 48,391 votes.
