The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Virunnu, starring Tamil actor Arjun Sarja in a primary role, took to their social media on August 9, Friday, to announce release a brand new teaser of the film. According to a recent announcement from the makers, the film will hit the big screens on August 23.
Directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam, Virunnu is a bilingual film in Malayalam and Tamil, which features a stellar lineup of actors, including Asha Sharath, Baiju Santhosh, Mukesh, and Dharmajan Bolgatty. Nikki Galrani plays the female lead and the movie, which is expected to be an action thriller from its teaser.
An Interesting Premise
The new teaser builds on the film’s first teaser that was released a few months ago and featured glimpses of some high-octane action sequences, promising a gripping thriller. With an interesting premise, the teaser showed Arjun Sarja’s character as someone who delves into the sinister world of evil cults and the horrifying murders they commit as part of an investigation.
Arjun’s Previous Outings In Malayalam
Meanwhile, Arjun’s previous outing in Malayalam was with the epic period film film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham starring Mohanlal in the lead and directed by Priyadarshan. He is also best-remembered for his performance in the Dileep film Jack & Daniel in 2019.
